One week of care for a fawn at Wild ARC

This sponsorship supports a week of care and rehabilitation of a special wild animal like this Black-tailed Deer fawn.
Deer fawns begin to arrive at Wild ARC in late spring, often orphaned as the result of their mum being hit by a car, or they have sustained injuries from an encounter with an unrestrained dog. However, fawns are also regularly left on their own while mum is out foraging, and sometimes these healthy babies are mistakenly brought in to the centre by concerned citizens. In these cases, Wild ARC rehabilitators help reunite babies with their mum, making sure that the fawns who remain in care at the centre are truly in need of help.
